Beetroot Falafel
Our Falafel recipe is a twist on the traditional version but only slightly. The patty is made from Fava beans. For better colour and nutritional value we added beetroot. View full recipe below!

Ingredients

Parsley fresh, chopped 30.0 g

Coriander, fresh, finely chopped 15.0 g

Onion, finely grated 70.0 g

Garlic, crushed 20.0 g

Fava beans, soaked, peeled 600.0 g

Beetroot, cooked and diced 200.0 g

Cumin 5.0 g

Coriander, seeds 5.0 g

Black sesame seeds 20.0 g

White sesame seeds 20.0 g

Oil for frying 1.0 l
Preparation

Preparation:
- In a food processor - start by pureeing parsley, fresh coriander, onions & garlic.
- Then add the beans and puree it for 3 minutes. Add the beetroot and pure for 2 more minutes.
- Add the cumin coriander, and Knorr vegetable Stock Powder and puree for one more minute.
- Using an ice cream scoop make a ball and press it to a patty with your fingers. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds on both sides.
- Deep fry at 170°C for 3 minutes on both sides.
